Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT) has a long history of hands on education that is founded in the motto"Do. Learn. Succeed.". Wentworth strives to nurture the builders, dreamers, doers, and makers of tomorrow. While the women at WIT only make up 18% of the population, they also strive to make their mark on the world. The WIT chapter of Society of Women Engineers (SWE) has created a network to help students professionally, socially, academically, and emotionally. SWE has recently started up a mentoring program pairing up new members with upperclassmen. The idea is to build connections and partnerships in an intimate environment. Our chapter has been honored with the Student Organization of the Year Award in 2015 and 2013 at the Wentworth Annual Awards dinner. Hosting the Region F Conference this past spring and holding annual STEM events for Girl Scouts and Boston area high school students are just a few of our biggest accomplishments.
